Band Update
21 Jan 2006
Before we look ahead to this year all the band and our callers Carys and Gina would like to thank all of you who booked us last year – we played for some great people and had a lot of fun all over the country!
At the end of 2005 we managed to get some time for rehearsals and were able to work more intently on some of the material we aired for the first time at the wonderful Lorient Festival. In fact we even made it to Dylan Fowler’s super Abergavenny Studio and commenced work on our second album!! Yes, it is true, there will be a follow up to – Off The Map – released later this year. We are not sure of a release date yet – as we have some more sessions ahead of us in February at Stiwdio’r Felin. Be sure to check back here and we’ll keep you posted on it’s progress.
We already have a number of gigs in the diary for this year but we still have plenty of availability. Please don’t leave it too late as we hate to disappoint potential bookers.
It is always good to be playing on home ground and we hope that a great number of you in South-east Wales can make it to Blackwood Miner’s Institute on Friday 24th February. It isn’t too often that we get to play for a public twmpath – so bring your gang and have a great time! (Box Office is 01495 227206).
Later in the year we are thrilled to have been invited back to what surely is one of Britain’s best festivals. We will play the Friday night Twmpath at Trowbridge Village Pump Festival on Friday 21st July. Follow the link to the festival website from our gig list and you’ll see that the line-up for the whole event is magnificent. Blessed with a wonderful site in the Wiltshire countryside, if you have never been before try and get there this year – you won’t regret it.
Lastly – if you have any comments about Allan Yn Y Fan – please don’t be shy – leave us a message.
