GEOFF CRIPPS

Keyboards, Guitar, Mandola, Bouzouki, Bass

Geoff is well-known throughout Wales & beyond as a venue manager, folk club and festival organiser, and as a musician with the Chartists (two albums for Steam Pie/Hypertension Records in the 1980s) and with Louisa Rugg, their album “Icarus” released in 1985 now changes hands for £50 a copy apparently!!  Geoff has also produced albums for BBC Children In Need “A Feast of Welsh Folk”, the charity Actionaid “Giving People Choices”, and for Cardiff a capella trio, The Milkshakes.

As the Development Director for Wales' first folk development agency - “trac - Music Traditions Wales”, he established the agency as a revenue funded client of the Arts Council of Wales and successfully steered the organisation through its Lottery Funded project.

Geoff has now moved back into venue programming and management, as Artistic Director for Cultural Services in Rhondda Cynnon Taf.
