When is it best NOT to have a ceilidh?

• If there is no room for a band and no space for dancing!
• If the bride and groom are not prepared to dance any of the dances!
• If your planning several activities throughout the evening (eg. a disco, a live band and some other entertainment). You won't have time for everything, and there is rarely enough room for everyone to set their equipment up at the same time and turnarounds can take ages!.
• If you know that everyone would prefer to have a disco.
• All your relatives are too old / infirm to want to dance at all!
