Why choose a ceilidh (twmpath) to celebrate a Wedding, a Birthday, an Anniversary etc.?

• Weddings often involve lots of guests who don't know each other - a ceilidh is a good way to get people to mix.
• Ceilidhs are suitable for people of all ages and give the opportunity for young children to share an activity with older people.
• Those who don't wish to dance can talk above the music (not a possibility with many discos!).
• A ceilidh band can fill a whole evening. Most of this will be dances for your guests - but we also play live music while guests are arriving and also when the dancers are having a breather!
• You don't have to be an expert dancer - you will be given excellent instructions! Our caller will always start with easy dances and then choose dances that reflect the guests' abilities. No one should feel left out and the emphasis is on FUN - not technical skill.
• The PA system provided can be used to play a CD of - your special tune -, or CDs of background music during the buffet break. It also comes in handy if you have any speeches or announcements to make.
• We are very adaptable and happy to discuss other aspects of live music for your wedding - including music at the church/registry office or background music at the reception (this does not need to be the entire band - often a trio or duo is more appropriate and we can suggest a format that will suit your needs).
• If you want the band to play particular tunes or call specific dances - let us know and we can arrange this. Sometimes weddings have a specific theme that we can accommodate.
• We understand that weddings don't always go according to plan. If speeches over-run or the meal is running late - you can rest assured that we will do our best to fit in with you. It's your day and we want it to be a success for you (and as worry-free as possible). We will be there at the agreed time and ready when you want us.
